Three Things that I am Grateful for

Hello everyone! So yeah, this is my first time posting something here. Let me tell you first, I am not a native English speaker so feel free to correct me if you see some errors.

I just wanted to share that writing an essay here is fun because if you will just click on the "click for an idea" button you can have a lot of ideas for topics you might want to write about if you feel like writing in your free time.

So I have chosen gratitude for my first essay. hihi. :P
Gratitude or being thankful is really relevant to me these days because it has helped a lot during this pandemic. This might be the worst year for everyone. Some may have lost their jobs or might be afraid of what will happen in the future and inevitably, this might lead us to feel sad over the things that are happening right now.

Human as we are, I do complain.. a lot. Yeah, I think it goes natural to me whenever there are plans that didn't go well or just simply failed expectations. I know this is a negative feeling and this won't help me plus, it makes me spread the negativity around.

So I decided to go back to writing my journal. Instead of writing a two-page entry, I kept it simple because of course, I don't feel so productive unlike before the pandemic came.
I started with finding one app that will help me record all the things I am grateful for.
Then, I bought a pocket-sized notebook for me to write things I might forget if I won't record them immediately. Then I'll just record it on the app.

I was challenged to write the things I'm grateful for and post them to my social media account for a week with the #GiveThanks. And it felt good to see others posting doing the same thing too. It was so good feeling the positivity spreading.

So right now, what am I grateful for?
Hmmm.. if you have read this far, THANK YOU.
Second, I am thankful to have English as a language. It bridges the gap of misunderstanding and diversity.
Lastly, I'm grateful to have survived another day. And I hope we all will!

Wow! I don't know how long you have been learning English, or what your native language is, but I think this is brilliant. I am a stickler for commas, whereas they are often used less these days. Hence my addition of some commas. Your writing asks for thoughtful pauses around clauses ;), so the commas help retain your emphasis. Thanks for the positive thoughts!
